Dance Cart

Brisbane

Updated: Mar 07, 2025

Dance Cart have been helping kids all over Brisbane to move and groove since 2008. With a goal of making dance accessible to all children, they have created a range of programmes designed to have something for everyone regardless of their skill set and ability.

Dance Cart started as a school-based program assisting primary schools around Brisbane to implement the new Australian Curriculum. The high-energy and engaging classes soon became so popular that parents were asking for outside-of-school options and a new range of programs was created. New offerings include school holiday programs and inclusive and non-competitive Dance Cart Kids classes that run on Saturdays during school terms.

The popular and action-packed school holiday programs are for children aged 7-12 years and incorporate dance, drama and creative activities which focus on keeping kids active, entertained and happy. They are a wonderful platform for artistic self-expression and confidence-building.

Students participating in the holiday workshops are exposed to acting, singing, costume design and set making activities, along with Dance Cart's own brand of "fun" dance which has been such a hit with kids. The week culminates with a spectacular concert to showcase the students newly-learned skills.

Dance Cart teachers are dedicated professionals who believe that classes should be enjoyable at the same time as assisting children to develop positive self-esteem and to learn new performance skills that will stay with them into adulthood.
