Camerata – Queensland’s Chamber Orchestra opens the first of their four mainstage concerts in 2025 with Camerata & Brendan Joyce: Schumann, performed live at QPAC’s Concert Hall on Thursday, 13 March.

Camerata & Brendan Joyce: Schumann features Camerata’s talented and renowned Artistic Director and First Violin, Brendan Joyce, on solo violin for Schumann’s beautiful Violin Concerto in A Minor.

This will be a rare chance to experience the seldom heard Schumann Violin Concerto with Joyce’s exquisite interpretation, along with beautiful music by Fanny Mendelssohn and Francis Poulenc.

Camerata & Brendan Joyce: Schumann

This concert sees Camerata in full breadth, with 40 musicians on stage, including strings, flute, bassoon, oboe, clarinet, trumpet, French horn, timpani and harp, all without a conductor in sight! A sight to be seen.

As always, concert-goers can join Camerata in the foyer after the show to meet the musicians and have a chat.
