Boys House Of Coffee

Kelvin Grove

Updated: May 16, 2024

A camphor laurel tree takes centre stage outside The Boys House of Coffee, providing shade for patrons in lieu of an umbrella.

Inside the space is small dark and cool and the crowds pack into both especially on market day when only the lucky manage to snare a table.

The popularity stems from this being one of those laid back joints that is a bit like an extension of home only with great cooking and excellent organic free trade coffee. With scrambled eggs being one of the more memorable dishes along with the on-the-premises-made pies and the hand cut chips this is quietly sophisticated comfort food at student prices.
