Soapbox Beer
Fortitude Valley
Soapbox Beer is bringing freshly brewed craft beer and top-notch fare to inner city Brisbane with Fortitude Valley’s first brewpub.
Local lads, Luke Nixon and Scott Robertson, have transformed a former Fortitude Valley dance studio into a cool craft microbrewery with industrial rustic fit-out including polished concrete flooring and reclaimed timber.
There are 8 brews on tap including five mainstays - pale ale, dark ale, amber ale, IPA and Kolsch - two rotating taps plus a guest cider.
The menu features beer-infused fare from share plates to mains. Bar bites range from beer pickled olives and porter mushrooms to potato curry croquettes with pale ale vindaloo sauce and beer brined grilled chicken wings with mango jalapeno sauce.
Main dishes include glazed citrus salmon, smoked duck breast, crispy spiced pork belly and wagyu steak with mash potato, mushrooms and porter onion gravy.
Don’t forget dessert - fudgy beer brownies with hops salted caramel sauce served with vanilla ice-cream.
Besides beer, there’s a carefully curated, concise wine list and boutique spirits such as Mount Glorious Distillery’s Pure Vodka.
