Australasian Dance Collective (ADC) in association with Queensland Performing Arts Centre (QPAC) presents Blue, a captivating triple bill of something old, something new and something borrowed, at QPAC from May 14-17, 2025.

Dancers performing Blue

In celebration of ADC's 40th anniversary season, this thrilling triple bill embodies the marriage between the legacy and the future of the contemporary dance company. Blue will echo history, premiering at QPAC’s Playhouse four decades after the company's first performance presented in 1985.

Natalie Weir’s poignant When Time Stops returns to the QPAC stage set to a soul-stirring score by Iain Grandage. This truly haunting and poetic performance features ADC’s extraordinary dancers, joined by guest artist Riannon McLean.

Melanie Lane treads the slippery realm of dream-thought with her new creation, Glass Teeth. In collaboration with UK electronic music visionary, Clark, Glass Teeth dances through the uncanny nightmares and fantasies that we are transported to when we sleep.

Global superstar Hofesh Shechter’s In your rooms, will close out the extraordinary triple bill with a visceral exploration of society’s chaotic energy and inner tensions, bringing together eight dancers for one electrifying performance.

Celebrate 40 years of dance when one of Australia's leading contemporary dance companies presents Blue on QPAC's Playhouse stage!
