Mr Chester Wine Bar

Fortitude Valley

Mr Chester Wine Bar is serving a revolving menu of boutique wine and fine foods to the inner city social hub of Fortitude Valley.

Tucked away on the corner of Ann and Church Street, this new world bar is set to delight locals who appreciate a relaxed drink with friends, away from the hype of bustling Brunswick Street. The hip venue is ambient with low lighting, seductive tunes, a concrete bar and simplistic furniture. Wine bottles adorn the back wall, which acts as the wine menu when ordering your beverage.

The wine menu is revolving and hand-picked by their in-house Sommelier on the regular. Chat to the bar tender about what flavours you enjoy in a wine and they’ll be sure to pick one you'll love. Find an excuse to celebrate to try one of their Tassie sparklings.

Not only is the wine fantastic but so also is their limited selection of spirits. You won’t find cheap vodka in this bar, as Mr Chester features only two boutique gins and two fine whiskeys.

If you’re a gin fanatic, ensure to order a Poor Tom’s gin with their StrangeLove light tonic, you’ll never drink standard tonic with your gin again. The StrangeLove tonic enriches the botanical flavours in the gin, changing the flavour of a gin and tonic completely.

Their select food menu features a range of share plates suitable to snack on with your wine or spirit. Cheese, charcuterie, terrine, pate, sardines on sourdough, chilli peanuts and olives are available to order – although these dishes also revolve with the wines that are available at the time of visiting.

Need to know – Limited street parking is available.
