Milton Common
Milton
Milton Common is a cool craft beer bar and eatery tucked away on Railway Terrace offering local craft brews on tap along with tapas.
When Aether Brewing's founder and head brewer moved the burgeoning brewery to Northgate, Aether's co-founder Jimmy Young took over the Milton premises and re-branded the two-level industrial chic bar and brewery as Milton Common.
Customers can enjoy fresh, cold brew on tap while sitting alongside giant copper and stainless steel vats, with additional seating provided on the fairyllt second floor.
There's a bounty of beer on offer with 12 taps (which include an alcoholic ginger beer and cider) as well as tinnies from some of Australia's best craft brewers - Brisbane's Aether and Soapbox Beer, Burleigh Head's Black Hops Brewing, Sydney's Modus Operandi, and more.
Tasty tapas complement the suds, from crispy garlic pickles and buffalo wings served with gogonzola dip, to bite-sized crunchy chicken karaage with pickled ginger and kewpie mayo, and Korean pork belly with shiso and kimchi slaw.
Share plates include an Ocean Basket of crumbed oysters, breaded prawns, lemon pepper calamari and fries with wasabi tartate, and a smoked meat board piled with house-smoked meats, buffalo wings, fries, pickles, slaw and slider buns.
Otherwise, there are Italian-style pizzas, juicy burgers, and mouth-watering mains like slow-cooked beef cheek with creamy roasted sweet potato mash and tempura cauliflower, and Korean braised pork belly with soba noodles and vegetables.
Besides beer, there's a concise wine list, boutique spirits, and refreshing, fruity cocktails.
