Hiker Brewing
Salisbury
Hiker Brewing is a cavernous, industrial-style brewhouse and tap room found tucked away in the backstreets of Salisbury.
Located at the end of Pentex Street, backing onto Toohey Forest, a timber supply warehouse has been converted into a microbrewery and bar, and community hub where locals can settle in for a few fresh brews with friends and family including kids and four-legged, furry members.
The massive shed features a vaulted ceiling, plenty of natural light, and seating for around 200, with custom-made timber tables and benches filling the front half of the venue. The back half has a ping pong table, kids' play space with toys, and amenities.
Beers are brewed on-site with stainless vats lining one wall. The bar boasts 12 taps including Hiker's core range - Hitchhiker India Pale Ale, Toohey Forest Lager and Bushwalker Pale Ale, plus Cloudscapes Hazy IPA and Wanderlust German Pilsner. For non-beer drinkers, there's a selection on Witches Falls wine on offer and Aether Brewing boozy ginger beer on tap.
Hiker's long term plans include an on-site kitchen, but for now punters can enjoy nosh from visiting food trucks and vendors like Salisbury legends Bare Knuckles BBQ.
