The Frog N Toad Corner Store

The Frog N Toad Corner Store is a unique deli, corner store and cafe located in an old colonial shop off the beaten track in Auchenflower.

This fancy corner store is your one-stop shop, with an ever-changing and growing range of deli items & sweet treats, grab-and-go meals, bunches of fresh flowers, fruit & veg, barista-made brews and more, with the option to enjoy your purchases in the undercover, al fresco space outside.

Owner Tass says he’s excited to showcase his combined love of food and hospitality to bring this community stalwart back to its former glory, having only ever had three owners – the previous having owned the store for 28 years.

The deli range includes imported and Australian cheese, meats & small goods, condiments (think scrummy sauces, mustards, chutneys, mayonnaise, flavoured oils, etc) delicious dips & marinated olives, handmade pasta including gluten-free options, locally-sourced yoghurts, Greek rice puddings, imported confectionery and the like.

All the heat-at-home meals and soups, salads, sandwiches and fruit salads are chef-made in-house with the freshest of seasonal produce.

As you’d expected from a good corner store, the range of hot food designed by Chef Curtis (previously at Lemoni in Tingalpa, The Greek Club, Sirromet Winery and at a number of Michelin star establishments) tempts even the fussiest eater: a full selection of burgers (lamb, vegetarian, chicken, beef), Greek hot dogs, steak sangas, and pulled pork toasties, just to name a few.

The breakfast menu includes family favourites such as bacon & egg burger (which can also be ordered on a muffin, wrap or toastie), ham & cheese toastie or croissant, plus buttery, golden raisin toast.

Coffee on pour is Maniatis Blend which is exclusive to The Frog N Toad Corner Store. A combination of beans from Columbia, Peru and Brazil are dark roasted to perfection, producing a delicious strong brew without the bitterness.

There is a small car park onsite, plus plenty of on-street parking providing easy access. And catering for functions and large groups is also available, upon request.

Good to know – Located within easy walking distance to the Wesley Hospital, the store is perfectly located to pick up fresh flowers, foodie gifts and gourmet delights to brighten someone’s day ... or even just your own!
