Little Big House

South Brisbane

LITTLE BIG HOUSE HAS PERMANENTLY CLOSED IN 2020.

Little Big House pays homage to Queensland’s sun soaked, laidback lifestyle with their heritage listed Queenslander venue in Southpoint, South Brisbane.

Nestled between two towering sky scrapers lies this Queenslander two-storey pub, becoming Brisbane local’s home away from home. There are plenty of nooks to hang out in, with seating indoors and outside on the large verandah that wraps its way around the house. There are two bars in the pub, both with as much personality as the other. Large palms are situated throughout the space with wall decals of Australian fauna and flora.

There’s also a pool table room and even a karaoke room, decked out with costumes and wigs to really get you in the singing mood.

The menu has been designed around the beverage menu, with classic Aussie pub meals and snacks suitable to share. Their chicken parmi spring rolls are a must do – they may not look any different to a regular spring roll, but they certainly taste it.

Otherwise tuck into some of their rotisserie meats, served with chips, gem lettuce and gravy. For something a little lighter there are salads available such as their roast chicken salad, tossed with corn, avocado, black beans and butter lettuce.

If you feel like snacking on a smaller morsel, try out LBH's kingfish and avocado tostadas.

The drinks menu is where the party starts, abundant with unique, delicious beverages to quench your thirst. There are shared punches, LBH sodas (spike your soda with gin, vodka or rum), signature cocktails (featuring frose slushies and a delicious Mai Tai), LBH’s own brewed beer and their incredible cocktails in a can. Slurp on the Feels Like Apple Pie for a taste of Fireball, lime and apple sidra – it is literally an apple pie in a can.

The Salty Sailor is an espresso martini with a LBH twist, spiced Sailor Jerry is shaken with white chocolate, popcorn, espresso and a toasted marshmallow.

There is also a coffee kiosk around the side of the venue which is open throughout the day to serve your daily caffeine needs.

Need to know – Limited paid parking is available nearby. Public transport is close by.

Nice to know – LBH holds Sunday sessions. They also hold functions and karaoke room bookings.
