Fitz & Potts

Nundah

FITZ AND POTTS CLOSED AT END OF JULY 2023.

Fitz and Potts is a bright retro character-filled Nundah rooftop bar that has a fantastic community vibe and encapsulates all that is good about Brisbane.

Located on a Nundah village street corner, Fitz and Potts occupies the postwar flat above the cafe below and comprises a labyrinth of funky nanna style rooms with a wraparound astroturf roof garden.

Inside Fitz and Potts, the rooms, adorned with macramé and shell hangings, fringed lamps, antique side tables and wallpaper have kept their original features like ornate cornices, polished floors and frosted glass window panes.

Meanwhile the roof garden, which has its own bamboo bar, is awash with 1970s patio furniture, pot plants, pink flamingos and beach umbrellas and even has a stingless bee hive.

The driving force behind Fitz and Potts are the delightful Brett and Cassie, two ex-teachers whose warm larger than life personalities permeate the place and each visitor (both 2 and 4 legged) is welcomed like a guest into their home.

The dynamic duo have created what would have to be the Brisbane bar where you can have the most fun whilst subscribing to sound eco and sustainability principles. The entire drinks list is curated from boutique Australian breweries, distilleries and winemakers and the food menu sourced from local producers, (images of which are intermittently projected onto a rooftop screen to enhance connectivity between consumers and growers).
