Botero House
Brisbane CBD
BOTERO HOUSE HAS PERMANENTLY CLOSED AS OF 2022.
Botero House is one of Brisbane's best cafe experiences in the city serving boutique coffee along with next-level seasonal fare prepared by a Michelin-starred chef.
Housed in a stunning three-story historic building on Adelaide Street, the relaxed vibe and casual, industrial chic decor - think high ceilings and exposed brick walls - belies the quality of the food.

The monthly menu, crafted by Chef Dan Brown (with experience at two and three Michelin star restaurants along with being the head chef at some of Australia’s top-hatted restaurants), focuses on quality seasonal ingredients sourced locally, such as fresh bread from King Street Bakery in Bowen Hills.
Breakfast fare includes favourites like the Botero Classic (poached eggs on sourdough with beetroot relish) as well as house crumpets topped with smoked salmon, poached eggs and smoked ricotta, truffled mushrooms on sourdough with fried haloumi and buttered spinach, and breakfast gnocchi with pork belly, braised peas, bacon, onion and mint.
The lunch menu, designed to be shared, consists of small plates of Caeser san choy bau served with crusty bread and house made poppy seed butter, chicken lollipops with togarashi and brown butter foam, and pork belly charcoal baos with Asian slaw and crispy onion.
Larger plates range from sous vide steak sandwiches on sourdough with horseradish mayo, semi-dried tomatoes and basil pesto, to Three Little Indians tandoori chicken sliders with mango chutney, and Granchio - house made squid ink fettuccine with blue swimmer crab, cherry tomatoes, garlic and chilli.
Alternatively, there's a charcuterie board piled with cured Italian meats, gorgonzola, marinated olives, house pickles and fresh King Street bread, or try a selection of Chef's favourite dishes and special items not listed on the menu.
Desserts include delicious chocolate brownies served with chocolate soil, hazelnut, mint and mascarpone, and honey panna cotta - a perfect combination of sweet and sour with cherries, honey and chocolate.
In addition, there's a selection of gourmet sandwiches and wraps, seasonal salads, and house made sweet treats such as bliss balls, banana bread and carrot cake.
Drink wise, customers can enjoy several blends of boutique coffee by Botero, roasted in the village of Maclean in Northern NSW, along with single origins. In addition, Botero is licensed with a concise wine list, local craft beer, spirits and cocktails.
