27 Club

The 27 Club brings the music of Hendrix, Joplin, Cobain, Winehouse, and Morrison to the Redland Performing Arts Centre stage on April 3 for one electrifying show that will have you praying to the rock gods for more!

Each artist was the musical voice of their generation—flames that burned bright but briefly—forever part of the ill-fated yet celebrated group known as the 27 Club. 

They left behind a catalogue of unforgettable songs: Amy Winehouse’s soulful Rehab, Kurt Cobain’s gritty Smells Like Teen Spirit (with Nirvana), Janis Joplin’s raw Piece of My Heart, Jim Morrison's poetic Light My Fire (with The Doors), and Jimi Hendrix's electrifying Purple Haze—just a few of the anthems to this day.

Bringing these songs to the RPAC stage on Thursday, 3 April, will be Australian rock icons Sarah McLeod (The Superjesus) and Kevin Mitchell (Jebediah, Bob Evans), joined by Carla Lippis (Mondo Psycho), Dusty Lee Stephensen (Wanderers, Dustyn), and Cam Blokland (The Superjesus).
